Kids’ Activity Classes all include plenty of fun ideas that will keep our kids’ club attendees occupied and hopefully give them something to think and talk about when they get home, too.
The subjects we cover in our classes have been designed by our founders, Olympic coach Nino Severino and his late wife, tennis champion Elena Baltacha, to stimulate kids’ imaginations and keep them active at the same time.
Kids’ activities, games and stories help to develop their coordination skills, listening and movement, long with a sense of rhythm from the fun (and very catchy) songs that we sing in our Learn Play Grow sessions.
Learn Play Grow class members are encouraged to build on each session with lively kids’ activity classes that include incentives like stickers and certificates – these make the children want to learn more, complete fun tasks and keep coming back for more!
Our after-school kids’ clubs, nursery sessions and holiday clubs all include a mix of the following:
- Sticker charts – to chart their progress as they work through the Learn Play Grow children’s activities
- Colouring sheets.
- Letters from our Learn Play Grow characters.
- Stories – specially themed stories to complement our different kids’ sports clubs and activities clubs – all illustrating life lessons around sportsmanship, bullying, competing, team building, and more in an easy to understand way.
- Songs – to help children enjoy movement and rhythm, while developing concentration and listening skills.
- Certificates at the end of every character-themed course which complement the kids’ activities they’ve been taking part in.
Our Day Classes – Walking to Three
Our day classes for toddlers are so much fun – they are incredibly popular and create a room that’s full of giggles and smiling faces.
We absolutely love to get our little ones involved in active play sessions, which all include group play and having lots of fun. We know that little toddlers love clapping, banging tap sticks and singing nursery rhymes, so we really let them enjoy themselves and encourage everybody – mums and dads too – to tap along and join in with singing simple songs like ‘Old MacDonald’ to help them learn a sense of rhythm.
Classes for toddlers are an absolute whirlwind of activity, with giggling little ones making friends with each other, getting to know the coaches and running around, burning off energy. Our Learn Play Grow toddlers enjoy playing energetic games with parachutes and other props, and then sitting down together to listen to a story from one of our Learn Play Grow characters.
If you’re looking for a baby class or toddler class that’s really engaging and fun, but think, “There are no baby classes near me” – why not use our handy class finder to find a Learn Play Grow day class that’s close to you – you and your little ones will get a very warm welcome. We do have classes for babies and toddlers – as long as your baby can walk, they will fit in just fine at a Learn Play Grow fun activity class for toddlers.

Our Nursery Classes – Walking to Four
Pre-school Learn Play Grow classes are designed to get small people thinking and learning as well as playing and having heaps of fun. You’ll find them in day nurseries and pre-schools and they are specifically designed to appeal to the imaginations of nursery age children (and younger).
One of the main focuses of a Learn Play Grow nursery class is getting the little people moving, while complementing their nursery education and other pre-school activities with creative and active play, age-appropriate learning and development activities that stimulate their physical and mental skills in a way they’ll love.
Our nursery class coaches encourage pre-school children to learn all about their surroundings and get active – they will play with scarves, tap sticks and pompoms, and enjoy fun adventure style activities with our Learn Play Grow characters – circus play with Perry the Penguin or a treasure hunt with Cameron the friendly Crocodile!
Pre-school class Learn Play Grow kids all seem to love interacting with our fun characters and each has their own personality and tale to tell.
As well as giving kids small, easily achievable goals to work for, linked to their class activities and tasks, they are rewarded with fun stickers and certificates ‘signed’ by the characters, so they are always aiming for something. This gives them a real sense of achievement from a very early age.
Learn Play Grow activity sessions all have a specific focus –for example teaching children specific physical skills like agility and speed, balance or hand eye coordination. Our stories and character-led activities focus on subjects like healthy eating, staying safe and looking out for each other.
